We are recruiting for Foundation Year 2/Core Trainee Doctors who wish to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards "great people, great place".
The Isle of Wight NHS Trust has 12 month fixed term LAS FY2/CT vacancies commencing 3rd August 2023 until 6th August 2024 in General Medicine.
Although LAS appointments are not recognised as training posts, post holders will be given the same training opportunities as trainees appointed through Health Education Wessex. There is a full postgraduate education programme at St Mary's.
Applicants for these rotations must hold a medical degree from an institution recognized by the GMC. They must have full GMC registration and a license to practice. They should be able to demonstrate evidence of ability to undertake the core clinical and generic skills required of all doctors at the end of F1, as documented in the FP Curriculum. Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate in English in a clinical environment.

Main duties of the job
These posts involve working within General Medicine under the supervision of designated Educational Supervisor.
Post holders will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and provide medical support to the specialty they are involved in.

Commitments arising in such circumstances are, however, exceptional and practitioners should not be required to undertake work of this kind for prolonged periods or on a regular basis. - The applicant must have achieved a primary medical qualification recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC)
- The applicant must hold or expect to hold full registration and a licence to practise with the GMC by the start of the programme
