This post will require candidates being out supporting clinical areas in their practice development within their designated services. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for education and development to join our dynamic and innovative team.
Desirably the post holders should have experience of supporting learning and development in clinical practice settings, and a working knowledge and experience of the International Nurse Programme. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to lead, facilitate and develop learning in clinical practice.
In partnership with the relevant clinical and education leads the candidate will contribute to developing a health workforce that has the right skills, behaviours and training available in the right numbers, to support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement. They will make a significant contribution to the delivery of the Trusts People and OD plan, and key Education and Development priorities, quality improvement, leadership, continuing professional development (CPD), and be a champion for evidence-based practice.
Please note, there is one Permanent and one 18-month Fixed Term appointment available.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in a designated part of the organisation to support professional practice development and evidence-based practice, to enable the clinical workforce to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to deliver excellent person-centred care for patients and their families.
They will support Practice Development Facilitators, and the Learning education and development senior team to deliver on Key performance indicators.

- Expected minimum spend of 70% of time out supporting clinical areas in their practice development within your designated services. Leading by example and supportively challenging practice whilst maintaining own clinical competence.
- Quality assurance and supporting clinical governance. To ensure high quality clinical care and standards are maintained across designated services.
- Support the Practice Development Facilitators in the delivery of Clinical skills programmes, development of new skills programmes, and delivery of our preceptorship, practice assessor and practice supervisor programmes.

- Support in the implementation of the RN and HCSW ongoing record of competence.
- Contribute to the development of guidelines, policies and competencies for practice and support compliance with NICE/CQC where relevant to the clinical workforce.
A recognised practice education or teaching qualification would also be desirable but candidates could be supported to achieve this.
As a key member of the Learning, Education and Development Team this role will contribute to the implementation of the annual Learning, Education and Development Plan. This plan is aligned to the People and OD Strategy 2021-2025 to ensure the workforce has the right skills, knowledge and experience, and the organisation fosters a culture of continuous learning and development.
