Job summary

We are recruiting for a Team Leader General Surgery, Urology & Orthopaedicswho wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. This post is busy and demanding with urgent deadlines to be met supporting our patients through pathways ensuring they receive their care in a timely manner without unnecessary delays.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate should have excellent communication, secretarial and organisational skills. This role is in a busy department liaising with clinicians, colleagues and patients.

You will undertake line management for numerous staff across multiple specialities, so knowledge of these services and previous line management experience is essential.

You will be responsible for ensuring all patient pathways are correct and reflective of the true RTT position, through regular validation by your secretarial team.

You will manage well established teams within these surgical specialities in a fast paced environment. Being able to manage regular interruptions and a change in priority at short notice is essential.
