We are recruiting for a Deputy Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist who wishes to join our Breast Multi-disciplinary Team at #TeamIOWNHS. Do you have the required enthusiasm and commitment to become an advanced practitioner to take on this specialist nursing role to implement the national cancer recovery package and patient triggered follow up care?

Working with the Band 7 Breast Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist and Band 4 Care Co-ordinator, the role provides key membership as part of the Breast multidisciplinary team.

The post requires vision, innovation and the ability to work across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of follow up patient care measured by prospective audit and national protocols. Implementing patient facing electronic system of My Medical Record and patent triggered follow up.

This post will work in collaboration with, and autonomously as part of, the Breast Cancer team to help develop and deliver the optimal patient triggered follow up pathways across organisational, professional and geographical boundaries.

Main duties of the job

It is essential that you possess a high level of up-to-date relevant clinical knowledge and experience in Breast Care, Cancer Care or Specialist Palliative Care with evidence of ongoing continuous professional development and a commitment to attain MSC. You must be highly motivated with strong leadership and excellent communication skills.

Working with the Cancer Management Team this post will be responsible for the implementation and assessment of the service against the NHSi Qualitative Measures for Breast Cancer.
