About the Service
The Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) provides short-term mental health support at home, to avoid people being admitted to hospital. We work across Sheffield and provide intensive support to our service users and their carers, where there has been a significant deterioration in a person's mental health.
The CRHTT is based at The Longley Centre, together with the Liaison Psychiatry service, the Trust's Single Point of Access (SPA) service, and some of our inpatient wards, supporting duty and crisis assessment, as well as promoting timely discharge back into the community.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Duties
- Attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings twice weekly
- Medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
- Medical/psychiatric assessments for care planning and risk assessment
- Formulation and delivery of appropriate pharmacological and psychological interventions to aid recovery.
- Assessment of people liable to detention under the Mental Health Act.
- Completion of administrative tasks necessary for clinical responsibilities.
- Liaison with members of other teams to transfer patients into and out of CRHTT.
- Clinical supervision of junior medical staff
- Teaching of undergraduate medical students

- Experience to a level allowing recognition of trainer status by the Royal College of Psychiatrist.
- Experience in teaching undergraduates & postgraduates. Evidence of experience in medical audit and understanding of principles of clinical governance
