Job summary

Managing and co-ordinating all Estates programmes to deliver significant investment schemes from £1 million to £60 million pounds in value, working closely with all project owners from clinical directorates and taking the Estates lead for agreed strategic investment proposals from concept through to delivery. The schemes must be managed within agreed performance measures and timely monitoring information provided. The post holder will provide expert professional advice and act as the contact between all stakeholders in schemes including Trust staff, contractors, consultants and other agencies to ensure successful delivery of projects. These will be complex multi-million-pound capital projects.

Main duties of the job

Manage the on-going Estates elements of the capital planning process, ensuring all major projects are commissioned and project managed to achieve the time, cost and project objectives set by Capital Board.

Represent the Estates capital planning and strategic development function by participation in or attendance at a range of high level Trust governance groups, including but not limited to Capital Group, Business Planning Group, Programme Boards, Finance and Performance Committee and Trust Board.

Support reviews of clinical or corporate services configurations, analysing the impact on estates capacity of proposed changes and advising on estates and related consequences. May include both expansion and rationalisation of the estate and participation in working groups or programme boards convened to manage such changes.
