We're looking for someone who is technically strong but has the essential soft skills needed to bring colleagues through change successfully, be assertive about timeframes, ensuring that projects remain on track and on budget and that governance is followed and communication is clear, regular and well planned.

The Digital Team is seeking to establish a number of different change agents primarily providing support to the EPR deployment program but also across the Trust as we modernise and standardise key infrastructure.

The Trust has chosen the Rio Electronic Patient Record (EPR) to support its workforce in the provision of care to the communities of Sheffield and this will be deployed across the majority of Trust clinical services.

This will be supported by a core group of change agents constitute from project managers and business architects and supported by the Senior Digital Project Manager Change Manager. These agents of change will become the main operational drivers to ensure that that clinical teams and IT teams fully understand locally expressed requirements across all areas of the Digital portfolio.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide support for the ongoing development of RiO
  • To monitor and report issues identified and raise issues affecting the Trust or patient journey to the senior management Team via the Digital Assurance Group
  • Contribute to the identification and analysis of stakeholders and support the development of the stakeholder plan, participating in its ongoing review and updating as required
  • Support the identification and prioritisation of desired programme benefits
  • Capture current state and develop future state process flows, for administrative, operational, or clinical processes with the stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement through technology or process change
  • To identify training needs and drive the development of appropriate training with the Digital team training lead
  • Identify appropriate / additional training requirements for staff and liaise with the Digital team to develop appropriate methods of training to support the change
  • To develop and review existing SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) to support process standardisation across clinical and corporate teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of core systems functionality including RiO
  • Adapt and identify new policy and procedures as well as revision of old policies
  • Identify and create where changes are required to applications and processes to ensure that they are fit for purpose
  • Ability to identify, analyse and understand the upstream and downstream impacts of system or operational changes

  • Ability to set out conclusions and recommendations clearly and concisely in a range of styles to reflect the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to present effectively to large groups including senior staff
  • Confidently facilitate workshops, generating enthusiasm and support from participants
  • Ability to create a clear project plan and prioritise workloads and resource them in response to changing demands and requirements.
