Clinical Coordinator for the Long Term Conditions Pathway
We are recruiting a 0.5 WTE Permanent Clinical Coordinator / Counselling Lead post in Islington
Would you like to develop your skillset by joining the Islington NHS Talking Therapies Service Management Team (previously known as iCOPE) and support the service to provide high-quality clinical care to our service users? Are you passionate about providing person centred, evidenced based psychological therapy to people experiencing psychological difficulties? Do you want to continue developing your clinical skills via high-quality supervision and ongoing CPD opportunities?
We are looking for Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists or Cognitive Behavioural Therapists with experience of working with adults with a range of mental health difficulties within LTC pathways to join our lively, dedicated and supportive NHS Talking Therapies team.

Main duties of the job
You will be part of a well-established, successful service providing assessment and psychological interventions, often in primary care settings, as part of the range of high intensity interventions we offer (which include CBT, EMDR, IPT, DIT, BCT and Counselling for Depression). You will be responsible for the coordination of the Long Term Conditions pathway as well as the line management of designated staff. You will work closely with our colleagues in Camden Talking Therapies
You will offer supervision to junior colleagues, and advice, consultation and training to other clinical colleagues as well as having the opportunity to contribute towards shaping and developing our service in partnership with our service users.

We are committed to investing in helping those who work with us to develop both personally and professionally, developing specialist areas of clinical expertise and increased awareness of the challenges faced by the diverse communities that we serve and are a part of through supervision, training and research opportunities, service development projects and reflective spaces.
We are mindful that working in a fast-paced service with people experiencing psychological distress can be challenging as well as immensely rewarding and we take a compassionate leadership approach to ensure that these challenges are acknowledged and that staff are supported through wellbeing focused line management, supervision, peer support and team working.
We encourage flexible working and staff are encouraged to negotiate a working pattern that allows for a good work life balance.
Posts are subject to criminal records disclosure and involve a mix of on-site and remote working, travel across the borough and one evening clinic (to 8pm)per week. Starting salary will normally be at the minimum point of the salary scale. There may be some fixed term posts available.
