Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist to join the Enfield Older People's Psychological Therapies Service, working in Enfield Older People's Mental Health Service. You will be working with various multi-disciplinary teams, including Enfield Memory Service and three inpatient wards. We welcome applications from all people who are enthusiastic about working with older people.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work full time in Older People's Mental Health Services in Enfield, dividing their time between in-patient service and memory services.

On the inpatient wards the post holder will provide psychological assessment and treatment and offer advice and consultation on clients psychological care to referrers, non-psychologist team colleagues and other professional and non-professional carers. They will work alongside another Clinical Psychologist and be part of the Enfield Older People Psychology Team.

In Enfield Memory Service (EMS) the postholder will work alongside another psychologist and provide a psychology service for clients under this team. This will include psychological assessment and treatment for older people with dementia, their families, carers and systems though individual work, group work and indirect work. They will offer advice and consultation on clients psychological care to referrers, MDT colleagues and non-professional carers. The role is likely to included doing Neuropsychological Assessment, delivering training and contributing to the supervision of assistant psychologists and trainees working in the service as appropriate.
