Main duties of the job
- To support the Associate Chief Pharmacist and Clinical Operations Lead Pharmacist in leading, developing, delivering, and evaluating pharmacy services and medicines optimisation as delegated by the Chief and Deputy Chief Pharmacists.
- To be an active member of the Pharmacy team with allocated management responsibilities.
- Provide leadership, maintain and improve standards of clinical pharmacy practice, quality assurance, risk management and other issues of clinical governance related to medicines optimisation.
- To play a leading role in delivering the Medicines Optimisation Strategy.
- To hold a Trust-wide leadership position for Medicines Optimisation in a defined specialist area of practice and maintain a clinical commitment.

Essential
- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent
Desirable
- Higher Degree/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy / Diploma in Psychiatry
- Educational Supervisor or Practice Supervisor Accreditation
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential
- A minimum of 18 months post-qualification experience as a pharmacist
- Significant and demonstrable experience of working as a clinical pharmacist practitioner in mental health. Must have highly specialised knowledge of psychopharmacology and mental health pharmacy services
- Experience of supervising and managing staff
- Experience of training and educating healthcare staff from a variety of professions
Desirable
- Knowledge of CMM ePMA system
- Evidence of involvement in the management of difficult situations and conflict resolution
- Involvement in project work
