Job summary
This is a Full Time (1 WTE) post for a Specialty Doctor to work in the Enfield Community Rehabilitation Team in the London Borough of Enfield. ECRT is a multidisciplinary team delivering a community rehabilitation service to patients with severe and enduring mental illness who are resident in 24-hour supported or residential accommodation. At present, there are approximately 98 of such homes in Enfield. The team works closely with Somerset Villa Rehabilitation Unit based at Chase Farm Hospital site, and the stepdown high and medium dependency unit run by Penrose, a social enterprise.
Main duties of the job
o Face to face clinical assessments for patients under the care of ECRT, usually as home visits.
o Medical input in weekly MDT meetings involving care planning/risk management.
o To take responsibility for the delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs).
o A willingness to be flexible in altering the timetable according to service developments.
o Supporting the RCs in writing Mental Health Tribunal reports and reports to other agencies as they arise.
o Attending Mental Health Tribunal/Associate Hospital Managers hearings as needed.
o To ensure appropriate clinical documentation.
o To work collaboratively with colleagues in other service lines and with GPs.
o To collaborate with GPs, hospital doctors and primary care clinicians re the physical healthcare.
o To engage with clinical governance meeting with staff and managers.
o The rehab team manager, in collaboration with the consultants in the team, manage patients through a case load management system.
o There are no on-call or section 12 rota commitments.
