Job summary
The Wakefield School Immunisation Team are looking for Bank nurses to support our delivery of the annual Flu immunisation programme to school aged children in the area from September to December.
The team is based in Normanton, but cover the whole of the Wakefield area, and successful applicants must be able to travel to all areas of the district.
The Wakefield Immunisation Team is an innovative, dynamic, fun and supportive team, dedicated to improving immunisation rates across the area, as well as reaching out to those who are harder to reach or no longer in a mainstream school.
The Flu programme is fast moving and very busy, so you must be able to work well under pressure.
As we work with a diverse community, excellent communication skills are a must.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm and the role is up to a maximum of 5 days per week, so multiple applicants may be needed.
You must be RN qualified and have current NMC registration.
Interviews will be on Thursday 28th August at our base in Normanton.
Main duties of the job
Delivery of both Nasal and IM Flu vaccinations in both school and clinic locations across the Wakefield district.
