To work as part of a team to ensure that the Trusts grounds, gardens, trees, roads and pathways are maintained in a safe and visually pleasing condition at all times, ensuring an efficient and effective services is delivered.

Main duties of the job
?Assist the Team Leader in the maintenance of grounds and gardens within the Trusts properties and SLA sites?Be capable of organising your own workload when necessary?Be competent in the use of hand tools to carry out routine gardening duties?Maintain all grassed and planted areas in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule?Maintain all roadways and hard standings, weed and remove all rubbish at required frequencies?Assist in snow clearing duties including replenishing of grit bins? Carry out gritting of roadways and paths
?If required drive the Trusts 4 wheel drive vehicle with trailer, due toinclement weather this may be, on occasion, in hazardous drivingconditions
? Ensure Health and Safety records are kept up to date with regards toequipment use? Ensure that all paperwork is completed to provide details of times,costs, parts and labour of tasks carried out
General Duties:? General porter's duties? Be capable of moving heavy objects/loads in order to assist withmoving furniture and equipment? Clear bin store and skip areas? Correctly utilise step ladders and ladders when necessary? Assist other trades e.g. Builders, Plumbers eg, footing ladders, tool support,chaperone duties, assisting with alarms? Relaying of slabs, paving etc. and repair of fencing? General maintenance duties such as clean light fittings and replacetubes eg, Emergency lights, window checks, Graffiti removals? Pesticide spraying
