Are you passionate about working with adults with a learning disability? Are you looking for a new challenge to develop your skills within this specialism?

This is a new opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join an established Occupational therapy team working across inpatient and community learning disability services.

The post holder will work within the specialist inpatient service (Najurally Centre) 22.5 hours a week. These hours can be worked flexibly depending on the needs of the service. 15 hours will be worked in the Community Team for Adults with a Learning Disability based at Waddiloves Health Centre in Bradford, working across Bradford, Craven and Keighley.

This is a full-time post with an option for flexible working.

Main duties of the job

The team are passionate about delivering high quality care for adults who require specialist health support due to their complex needs.

This includes including physical, mental health, sensory, communication, or behavioural impairments.

The post is well supported by an Occupational Therapy Team and there is support from a part time Band 7 within the inpatient services.

The Learning Disability Teams are friendly and supportive. The role and skills of an Occupational Therapist are valued, and the job provides the opportunity to use all your OT core skills.

The OT role sits within a full multidisciplinary team with opportunities to work alongside all professionals.

There are excellent CPD opportunities for ongoing professional development.
