Main duties of the job
Maintain cleanliness standards in line with National Specifications for Cleanliness in the NHS.Provide general cleaning in various areas.Follow infection prevention and control guidelines.Ensure safe use and storage of materials and equipment.
Adhere to safe working practices.
Work to a cleaning schedules.
Complete tasks such as damp dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning.
Bed base cleaning.
Change curtains as per guidelines.
Complete cleanliness audits.
Maintain stock levels of cleaning materials.
Monitor and order linen.
Maintain water flushings.
Dispose of waste appropriately.
Report maintenance and repairs.
Carry a personal alarm in designated areas.
Complete time sheets.
Raise non-compliance issues with the line manager.
Complete mandatory training as required.
