An opportunity has arisen to join the well-established and supportive Safeguarding Team.
You will join a team of nurses from different branches and specialisms to complement our corporate safeguarding advice and support offer to staff in the Trust.

Our team works hard to promote safeguarding within the organisation, and we work with partners across Bradford, Airedale and Craven to develop and improve quality and to develop effective, robust systems and processes.
The role of Safeguarding Practitioner requires a highly motivated, dynamic and passionate individual with proven and extensive experience of working within the safeguarding children's agenda.

Main duties of the job
- Facilitating safeguarding adults and children training
- Facilitating safeguarding adult and child supervision
- Supporting staff via the safeguarding team advice and support service on matters relating to safeguarding adult and child concerns
- Supporting staff with child protection legal statements
- Fully engaging in multi-agency working
- Being a specialist in supporting the identification of safeguarding risk to children and adults, advising on such, and escalating when necessary.

BDCFT Safeguarding team works between an office base at New Mill Saltaire and virtually at home to support all BDCFT health services. There may be occasions when multi-agency meetings need to be attended across the district.
It is required to be a car driver with a valid Driving License.
