Job summary
The Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy service at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust provides support to adults with a range of acquired communication and swallowing difficulties across the Bradford district. The service works closely with referral partners and other Allied Health Professionals across the district to maximise our therapeutic impact.
You will work as part of the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy team under the direction of the Team Leader. You will be expected to function as an autonomous clinician, taking responsibility for the planning and management of your own caseload and interventions. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of speech and language therapy care to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties resulting from (e.g.) stroke, brain injury, progressive neurological diagnoses and voice disorders.
You will deliver services via a range of modalities including telehealth, community clinics, home visits and visits to care homes. You will evidence a high level of problem solving, reasoning skills and independence of judgement, using evidence based/person centred principles. You will also provide peer support and clinical supervision to other members of the team.

Main duties of the job
To work effectively as part of the Community Neuro Team to provideassessment, therapy, advice and support to Adults with acquired andprogressive Neurological Conditions who have specific needs in relation to their communication and Swallowing
To work in both community and community Hospital settings, managing a caseload of both routine and complex cases.
This position is not eligible for sponsorship set by the Home Office and the skilled worker visa occupation list.
