Job summary
The phlebotomy home visiting team is a city wide service providing phlebotomy and other observations to patients who are housebound and unable to visit their GP practice .The service is provided across the city of Bradford .
We have a vacancy for a Band 2 health care support worker to come and join the team.
The role requires you to visit people in their own homes to undertake blood tests and other observations such as blood pressure and weight measurement .
The team use electronic records to access and input information and having skills in using computer systems would be an advantage although training will be provided in the current health system in use .

Main duties of the job
? To provide generic care and planned interventions to the patients within Adult Community Services, predominantly requiring phlebotomy, either planned or urgent to aid the prevention of avoidable hospital admissions.
? Under the supervision of registered health care professionals assist the healthcare team with the provision of clinical care for a defined group of patients.
? Takes leadership from a qualified practitioner within a delegation framework for agreed tasks.
? Ensure patient safety is maintained and patient experience is positive by treating all patients, relatives and colleagues with respect, dignity and courtesy accordance with Trust values at all times.
