Job summary

A position has become available for a Band 7 Specialist Practitioner Safeguarding Adults and Children.

The trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and expects all staff to share this commitment.

The safeguarding team works hard to promote safeguarding within the organisation and works with partners across Bradford, Airedale, Craven and 0-19 services within Wakefield to develop and improve quality, developing effective, robust systems and processes.

The role of Safeguarding Practitioner requires a highly motivated, dynamic and passionate individual with proven and extensive experience of working within the safeguarding children and safeguarding adult agenda.

Main duties of the job

  • Facilitating safeguarding adults and children training
  • Facilitating safeguarding adult and child supervision
  • Supporting staff via the safeguarding team advice and support service on matters relating to safeguarding adult and child concerns
  • Supporting staff with legal statements.
  • Fully engaging in multi-agency working
  • Being a specialist in supporting the identification of safeguarding risk to children and adults, advising on such, and escalating when necessary.
