Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced psychological therapist who is interested in leadership, service development and providing psychological therapy in complex clinical cases; this includes offering consultation and formulation to our Early Intervention services. The post holder will be responsible for the Psychological service with Early intervention, as well as providing clinical leadership for the Early Intervention in Psychosis clinical teams (clusters and hub) as part of the wider leadership collaborative for the service; working with peers including psychological therapists, the clinical manager, team leads and medical colleagues. The role will also work closely with their designated line manager and clinical supervisor, as well as the Team Leads, to ensure an MDT approach is maintained with all Service Users, and the individual has a good quality working experience.
The Senior Psychological Therapist is responsible for oversight of supervision provision, clinical targets, and outcomes within the Psychological Therapies service in Early intervention. The role is also responsible for leading on relevant projects and service development such as upskilling the team in formulation skills and including service user/peer workers in truly collaborative working.
Main duties of the job
The Early Intervention Service is committed to delivering high quality, meaningful, and culturally adapted support to the communities of Bradford. We have a Community Development Strategy in which we work with local services, faith centres, and charities to deliver awareness and support to the families of those experiencing psychosis. You will have the opportunity to work with and lead the team on service development projects and community development and engagement strategies.
Job purpose: To provide clinical leadership within EIP psychological therapies and the wider service. To have oversight and ensure an evidence based psychological therapy service & to provide some operational management/support to identified Psychological Therapy staff.

- Doctorate level training in clinical or applied psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical, psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS, or a BPS Statement of Equivalence.
- OR Specialist post graduate training to masters level* or equivalent in a psychotherapeutic modality - including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Systemic Therapy AND Accreditation from a recognised Psychological Therapy body e.g. BPS, BCP, IGA, UKCP, BABCP via: (a) Professional route; requiring previous mental health qualification e.g. Clin. Psych., RMN, Dip. SW. or (b) Where applicable, the KSA (knowledge, skills and attitude) route (e.g. with the BABCP).

- Teaching (clinical practice) qualification/certificate or equivalent experience.
