Main duties of the job
- Maintain the integrity of Trust buildings by ensuring access points are secure at all times.
- Monitor access to the building and maintain records of visitors.
- Respond to all calls for assistance
- Undertake patrols of grounds and facilities.
- Take appropriate action in the event of an emergency and provide the necessary liaison with the Emergency Services.
- Ensure security of building following unauthorised entry by contacting contracted maintenance service to board up or complete remedial out of hour's maintenance.
- Movement of goods and information throughout the Trust including pharmacy, laundry and waste
- Environmental maintenance including cleaning, gritting and snow clearing.
- To act as an ambassador of the organisation giving assistance and information as required to staff and visitors
- Planning and organisation of work schedule, and the ability to obtain and organise information in support of work activities.
- Provide cover for other security staff as required to cover absences etc
- Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, completing log sheets in a legible manner
- Provide reception cover at Trust sites as and when required
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Report all incidents / hazards immediately to the appropriate person
- Full UK Clean Driving License; Minimum held for one year.
Shift Pattern: 6am - 2pm : with alternate weekends
