Main duties of the job

  • Maintain the integrity of Trust buildings by ensuring access points are secure at all times.
  • Monitor access to the building and maintain records of visitors.
  • Respond to all calls for assistance
  • Undertake patrols of grounds and facilities.
  • Take appropriate action in the event of an emergency and provide the necessary liaison with the Emergency Services.
  • Ensure security of building following unauthorised entry by contacting contracted maintenance service to board up or complete remedial out of hour's maintenance.
  • Movement of goods and information throughout the Trust including pharmacy, laundry and waste
  • Environmental maintenance including cleaning, gritting and snow clearing.
  • To act as an ambassador of the organisation giving assistance and information as required to staff and visitors
  • Planning and organisation of work schedule, and the ability to obtain and organise information in support of work activities.
  • Provide cover for other security staff as required to cover absences etc
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, completing log sheets in a legible manner
  • Provide reception cover at Trust sites as and when required
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Report all incidents / hazards immediately to the appropriate person
  • Full UK Clean Driving License; Minimum held for one year.

Shift Pattern: 6am - 2pm : with alternate weekends
