Job summary
The Luton Falls team works across Luton aiming to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions following a fall, reduce the risk of further falls and supports patients with Falls prevention health promotion. We work closely with the East of England Ambulance Service, other local NHS Services, Local GP practices, Social Services and Luton Borough Council.

Well look no further! Our Luton Falls team is expanding, which means we have an exciting opportunity to appoint a static Band 5 Physiotherapist.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work within the Falls Team to provide clinical support as well as timely intervention input for people who have had a fall or are at risk of falling across Luton. They will be working with a multidisciplinary clinical team providing a physiotherapy service with the Luton Falls team to enable the patient to remain at home safely, falls prevention and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions.
They will hold a clinical caseload delivering patient centred, evidence based multi-factorial falls assessments and interventions in the community including clients own home, extra care sheltered housing and care homes and will also include supporting the delivery of evidence based strength and balance programmes in the local community.
We are looking for a clinician with a dynamic and innovate approach, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who are well organised and enthusiastic. In return we offer learning and development opportunities with access to regular supervision as well as a great team environment.
The Post holder will also have the opportunity to participate in the preceptorship programme. There will also be opportunities to work alongside other therapists with service development and service re-design.
