Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Clinical Leadership Team and with the team of Professional Leads across Norfolk to drive forward the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme, ensuring that the Voice of the Child and quality remains the focus and at the heart of everything we do.
You will also contribute to the development of the service including our digital service offer justonenorfolk.nhs.uk.
You will be based in the Breckland locality, supporting operational leadership across the West and Breckland collaborative locality as well as offering clinical expertise to the workforce.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the practice placement learning environment for cohorts of post registration Specialist public health Nurses and pre-registration nurses and midwives working within the 0-19 teams. This may include Return to Practice, staff undertaking Conversion, Public health development Nurses and apprentices. (This may not be an exhaustive list)
- To plan, deliver and evaluate packages of training and learning opportunities for all staff working within and alongside the 0-19 Integrated teams, in collaboration with partner agencies and stakeholders, taking into account local and national policies and procedures.
- To engage with all Institutes of Higher Education across Cambridgeshire Community Services to ensure robust standards of Education and training within the Practice Placements.
- To support 0-19 staff in accessing and completing training to be practice assessors and supervisors.
- To plan and provide preceptorship to newly qualified practitioners.
- To offer guidance and sharing of expert knowledge and evidence-based research to improve outcomes for children & young people within Norfolk.
- To work with staff, other professionals, integrated services, and relevant partners to ensure delivery and plans of care for the children, young people and their families.
- To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of ones own work including management of clients on the caseloads, management of time and resources in line with the NMC code of conduct and Trust Policies.
- Act as a source of expertise and knowledge for children, young people and their families and for health professionals and have a key role in the continuing development of the integrated team around the child.
- Work as a part of the clinical team, alongside the Clinical Lead and deputy to support, develop and deliver clinically robust services across the 0-19 HCP.
- Actively participate in the delivery of the Digital service offer. This will include participation in the writing and delivery of webinars and presentations, supporting developments such as podcasting.
- To provide a clinical oversight, review and revision of current clinical content contained within the JustOne Norfolk Service user and Professional pages.
- To be a credible role model, demonstrating good practice and maintaining local, national and professional standards. To develop and implement evidenced based guidelines and standard operating procedures for 0-19 practitioners.
- To apply analytical skills through application of specialist knowledge in order to support assessment processes and to share findings with students working within the 0-19 integrated team.
- Evaluate outcome measures and through this the impact on Children Young People and Families in Norfolk, by leading on the implementation, participation in and dissemination of Clinical Audit.
- Participate in any relevant new initiatives from government or research programmes or projects that are locally or nationally driven.
- Attend feedback meetings, business meetings and multi-agency meetings ensuring confidentiality is upheld.
- Be active in Clinical Governance developing joint action plans, protocols, pathways, guidelines, procedures and audit to ensure continuous quality improvement of the service.
- Support the locality Leadership triangle (Team Lead, safeguarding lead and Professional Lead). This will be on a needs led basis and will require supporting the leadership team in the day to day running of locality and covering for either member of the triangle in their absence.

- Develop effective working relationships with appropriate multiagency professionals, develop and maintain working relationships with childrens agencies both from the statutory and voluntary sectors and those from Institutes of Higher Education
