Specialist Adult Diagnostic Assessment Clinician

Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Specialist Diagnostic Clinician to join our Adult Neurodevelopmental Service on a part-time basis of (15 hours per week) must be able to work on a Wednesday. The post holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic assessments for adults with Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), in line with national guidance and best practice.

This role is ideal for a clinician seeking flexible working while maintaining specialist clinical practice within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Main work day - Wednesday

Main duties of the job

  • Undertake comprehensive diagnostic assessments for adults referred for Autism and/or ADHD.

  • Contribute to formulation, diagnostic decision-making, and feedback in line with NICE guidance.

  • Complete high-quality clinical documentation, including diagnostic reports and correspondence.

  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychology, psychiatry, nursing, and allied health professionals.

  • Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement activities.

  • Provide specialist advice and consultation to colleagues where appropriate.

  • Knowledge of a range of models currently used Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental Services
  • Ability to deliver evidence based therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to demonstrate competence in at least one form of evidence based therapy
