An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist (Band 5 - Full Time - Permanent) to join the Coventry Community Mental Health Team. The Community Mental Health Teams are multi-disciplinary teams that provide support and intervention to people with a range of mental health difficulties.

We are looking to recruit a psychology graduate who has relevant clinical experience and is interested and passionate about working with people with complex mental health needs.

The post holder will be part of a well established psychological therapies team and will be offered ample opportunities for individual and group work, working with MDT colleagues, research and audit.

The post holder will receive 1:1 clinical supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.

Please note that the expectation is that the post holder will be based in the team, although consideration will be offered to ad-hoc remote working depending on duties.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the service, such as supporting psychological assessments and providing low intensity psychological interventions (group and individual) under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist in a variety of community settings.

The post holder will also assist in clinically related administration, collecting data, conducting service audits and evaluations to determine effectiveness of interventions as well as identifying areas of service development, and the dissemination of research outputs.

The successful applicant(s) would be line managed and supervised by a Clinical Psychologist but overall accountable to the Principal Clinical Psychologist.
