Operational Lead- Childrens LD
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administration leader, interested in working with a team of extremely committed children's professionals, to increase efficiency and patient care through better systems and processes.
Children's Learning Disabilities services cover Coventry and Warwickshire and provide support to Children, young people and their families with moderate to severe learning disabilities. This includes providing respite services.
The postholder will work closely with the clinical team to provide operational support, including optimising clinical delivery through the new EPR. A passion for transformation and quality improvement is essential.

Main duties of the job
- Be responsible for delivering on statutory and mandatory training targets across Children's LD, including monitoring appraisal compliance.
- Ensure that a high quality of service is delivered and be responsible for ensuring that services are delivered as per specifications and meet contracted levels of activity.
- Be a key member of the Children's LD Operational Management Team, with responsibility for leading and supporting quality improvement projects.
- Be responsible and accountable for implementing agreed strategies and leadership, to ensure performance objectives are achieved.
- Work closely with senior operational colleagues and General Manager, to address clinical and medical issues.
- Work closely with team leads and senior admin colleagues to ensure safe and effective delivery of clinical services.

Assume overall operational management responsibility for services within remit. Be responsible for ensuring clinical services have the required resources to deliver agreed performance indicators in relation to clinical outcomes, clinical efficiency and service line reporting. Support implementation of business corrective action plans, where necessary. Work with the Service Leads, Head of Service, Matrons and General Manager in managing the range of contractual arrangements in place to ensure they deliver in line with Service Level Agreements and contractual targets, including KPI reporting. Support the implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to demonstrate monitoring of compliance with clinical governance standards, safety & quality standards and other Trust-wide policies and processes and best practice requirements Utilise existing systems to record and monitor governance and risk information. Work cooperatively with clinical and administrative leads to ensure the effective deployment of all Childrens LD resources, advising the Head of Service and General Manager on priorities, resource shortfalls and waiting lists. Take a lead on addressing and resolving informal complaints and ensure formal complaints are dealt with appropriately. Work with the service Team/Clinical Leads to investigate staff conduct and performance and, where appropriate, undertake action in accordance with relevant Trust policies. Utilise quality and activity monitoring systems to lead on the development / evaluation of the Planned Care services.
