Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join the Community mental health - Older adult service, supporting patientswith a range of mental health conditions including dementia, psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety, and emotional regulation difficulties.

The Multi-disciplinary team is made up of Psychiatrists, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social workers, Social care and Carers workers, Assistant Psychologists and Support workers. The role of the Clinical support assistant would be to support the delivery of a variety of evidence based interventions, including assisting with medication monitoring, triage, Occupational therapy interventions, 1-1 and Group based psychoeducation.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Foundation degree in Health or Health and Social Care or psychology including Assistant practitioner or currently undertaking the course, Or equivalent skills and knowledge developed in practice

Knowledge and skills

  • Good written communications

  • Effective organisational skills
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Understanding of Equal Opportunities
  • Understanding of confidentiality
  • Understanding of health and safety issues
