Are you a compassionate team player with a passion for supporting clinical teams and delivering exceptional service? We are looking for a highly organisedMedical Secretary to join our Children & Young Peoples support services team to provide vital administrative support to consultants, junior doctors, and healthcare staff.
The role is based at Parkside House in Coventry, alongside another medical secretary within an established and vibrant admin team - together we are committed toexcellence, respect, and integrity. As a key first point of contact, you will help ensure smooth day-to-day work, manage clinics and correspondence, and coordinate a wide range of tasks.
Working collaboratively with the Senior Admin Lead and wider admin team, you'll offer support to junior staff, uphold confidentiality, and support the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care.
The ability to travel independently between our CYP localities is a requirement of the role to help our other admin colleagues when necessary. Travel between sites during the working day will be reimbursed via e-expenses.There will also be the option for home working to fit flexibly into the working week if preferred.
Main duties of the job
Deliver a professional and confidential secretarial service to medical staff
Manage diaries, clinic bookings, and patient follow-up appointments
Assist the Senior Admin Lead in coordinating work to support staff to ensure efficient workflow
Liaise with patients, service users, and stakeholders in a compassionate and respectful manner
Support the coordination of medical rotas and meetings
Handle sensitive information with the utmost integrity and discretion
