Clinical Lead - Community Children’s Nursing Service Continuing Care

Job summary
We are looking for an exceptional Children's Nurse who has a passion for the delivery of outstanding community nursing services for children and young people.
The successful candidate will join a clinical leadership team who are passionate about supporting nursing service delivery in the home, special schools and residential respite setting. You will provide professional and clinical leadership to all staff across the service, with a key focus on the Birches Respite Team and Children and Young People's Continuing Care (CYPCC) provision. You will work collaboratively with operational managers and partners within the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to ensure that the services we provide are equitable, safe and of the highest quality.
If you are an enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated nurse, with significant community experience working with children and young people with complex health needs, this could be the role for you. Our services are extensive and varied and therefore experience working with technology dependent children, children's palliative care, respite care for medically complex children, children's continuing care, or special school nursing will be valuable to the role. The role will involve providing credible leadership in clinical practice and delivering excellence in clinical care as required.
There is one full-time post (minimum 30 hours considered) and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will lead our services with compassion and integrity. You will demonstrate the ability to motivate, support and develop our ever-growing teams. Strong transformative skills and the ability to support a change process are essential. You will deliver close partnership working with operational manager colleagues including the ability to deputise in their absence.
Our patients are becoming increasingly more complex; therefore, you will be able to demonstrate an extensive clinical skills portfolio that is relevant to our caseload. In all your activities you will role model the highest standards of professional and clinical practice.
CWPT is a commissioned provider of CYPCC funded packages of care, the post holder will act as a contact for the ICB to manage these packages, ensuring they are delivered as agreed and to a high standard. The post holder will demonstrate knowledge and experience of the CYPCC framework and process.
The post holder will have experience and be able to demonstrate good working knowledge of clinical incident management, and the management of risk. You will have the knowledge and skills to lead the delivery of the clinical supervision strategy across the teams, supporting governance over all areas of clinical practice and support the management of any professional practice concerns.
