Specialist Eating Disorder Community Nurse

Job summary
The post holder will provide nursing input into the community eating disorders service. The post holder will work across the eating disorder pathways (Standard and Complex) and provides emergency and planned community based treatments to clients.
The post holder will work with the wider MDT to provide monitoring and specialist nursing to patients with a diagnosed eating disorder across multiple treatment pathways. The postholder may also contribute to the pathways for clients with severe and enduring eating disorders (SEED), act as a link worker for patients who are making the transition from CAMHS to adult services and offer assessment and intervention as appropriate to skill set across the additional pathways. The post holder will work with patients who are in the preparation phase for inpatient treatment or are likely to need admission in the near future and may be involved in post-discharge follow-up. The post holder will carry out specialist nursing assessments, run physical health monitoring clinics, plan and implement care, respond appropriately to crises, and maintain associated records.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day delivery of the service to individual clients and their families and carers via a range of evidence based interventions.
The post holder will ensure that all organisational systems and processes are adhered to. The post holder will manage and organise competing and conflicting priorities and manage change in complex situations. The post holder will be a resource of clinical knowledge and competence in the service area contributing to staff and service development.
The post holder will provide evidence-based clinical interventions to maximise recovery and independence as required by service needs or complex presentations.
The post holder may be expected to supervise other staff.
The post holder and team will be required to work to the organisation's agile working policy.
The post holder will be required to under take delegated responsibilities as required.
