Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust

Whole School Approach Co-ordinator (Internal)

The closing date is 18 September 2025

Job summary

We are seeking a health professional for a Coordinator for the Whole School and College Approach (WSCA) in the Mental Health in Schools/Mental Health Support Team.

The Mental Health in Schools/Support Team (MHST) provides early access to CBT informed psychological interventions and education and advice about mental health and well being to school and college staff.

The post-holder will work closely with the MHST clinical leadership who will be responsible for the delivery of the WSCA. This will ensure the competence and confidence of the Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) to offer consultations, workshops and assemblies within education settings, and an annual EMHP Exploration. This exploration contributes to the Mental Health Lead's self-assessment in which they identify the well-being and mental health needs of their school or college.

This post-holder will be responsible for and organise the new workforce that will be supporting the EMHPs' delivery of the WSCA. This will require involvement in recruitment of that workforce, supervision and support, and ensuring that their training needs are identified and addressed.

The service will be developing our work through the involvement of young people. This postholder will lead on that work, engaging with the young ambassadors and finding ways for them to contribute to our service development.

Main duties of the job

Using data about current practice to inform further developments in WSCA.

Supporting EMHPs with their contribution to the school/college's annual self-assessment.

Supporting the clinical development and review of materials used in WSCA, including organising and offering clinical input to the Clinical Oversight Group which reviews and monitors materials and resources for WSCA and the delivery of CBT.

Providing group supervision focussed on the delivery of the WSCA.

Providing clinical and management supervision of WSCA support workers.

Providing information, advice and guidance about processes related to the WSCA.

Maintaining a role within the regional groups related to WSCA.

Developing and maintaining a system to engage young people in the MHST's development.
