Consultant Psychologist

Job summary

We are looking to employ an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our well-established CLDT services.

You will work alongside the General and Service Managers and other clinical and team leads to provide excellent quality assessments and interventions to adults with Learning Disabilities.

Your teams will include a range of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Allied Health Professionals, Psychiatrists, Nursing and Social Care Colleagues. Key tasks of this role include oversight and governance of the psychological treatment pathways for people with Learning Disabilities, contributing towards Coventry and Warwickshire's Transforming Care Programme and clinical oversight and governance of the Psychological Professions in the CLDTs.

There is robust multi-professional working within the service and with partner agencies and providers, with the contribution of the psychological professions being highly valued.

Main duties of the job

To oversee the psychological professionals working within the CLDTs, as their professional lead, so as to ensure the safe, effective and timely delivery of psychological assessments and interventions.

To provide a psychological perspective within CLDT leadership work including pathway development, clinical governance, etc.
