Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Specialist Dietitian in Learning Disability and Autism services (LDA). You will be responsible for leading on health promotion and weight management workstreams across the Brooklands hospital site.The post holder will work with the dietetic team alongside the MDT, working as an experienced autonomous practitioner, to provide a high standard of patient focused care through specialised assessment where identified.
The post holder will plan and deliver a high quality service to patients working in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team utilising their dietetic skills and expertise to work with people with a learning disability.
You must be HCPC registered with significant job experience
Main duties of the job
The Specialist Dietitian will manage a clinical caseload, delivering safe and effective dietetic care to patients at Brooklands Hospital under the supervision of a clinical specialist dietitian. Responsibilities include responding to referrals, assessing nutritional needs, interpreting blood results, and developing educational resources.
They will ensure legal and professional accountability, maintain accurate records, and contribute to audits, service development, and staff training. The role also involves supervising support staff and students, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting the dietetic profession within and beyond the Trust.
The post holder must be willing to travel across Coventry and Warwickshire for meetings, supervision and CPD opportunities.
