Job summary
After an evaluation of the role we are now recruiting in to a substantive Governance Manager across LDA. The post holder will work within the safety and quality agenda for the Directorate under the direction of the Associate Director of Nursing and in partnership with the Head's of Nursing and the Lead AHP. This role will support and implement systems, structures and processes to drive safe high-quality clinical services, efficiency and effectiveness. The post will support clinicians by analysing and presenting clinical data, supporting the management of risk, using data from audits, CQC inspections and peer reviews to improve our services with teams.

Main duties of the job
1. The post holder will work within the safety and quality agenda for the Directorate under the direction of the Associate Director of Nursing and in partnership with the Head of Nursing and the Lead AHP.

The post holder will have the responsibility for critically analysing incidents and communicating the outcomes/recommendations, liaising with the Lead Nurses/AHPs and Associate Director of Nursing. Facilitating and enabling staff to be actively involved in the incident reporting and reviewing process, promoting an open culture.
Ensure the approach to Directorates risk management is in line with the organisations Risk Management Strategy in collaboration with leadership and management team.
To support the coordination of and preparation for CQC and other external inspections, including peer reviews liaising with key personnel. Ensure the relevant regulations and standards are embedded in practice and evidenced in the delivery of care and services through reporting structures
Supporting the Professional leads for safety & quality in collating that evidence to demonstrate compliance. Work with relevant leads to develop action plans to develop areas identified where improvement is required.
To coordinate the processes for the investigation of all reported incidents (including SIs)within the directorate and to ensure that any actions or all recommendations from SI investigations for services within the Directorate are implemented,
Ensure robust mechanisms are in place for regularly reviewing action plans, ensuring that evidence of completion is collated.
