Head of Contracting & Procurement

The Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated procurement professional to develop and lead its integrated contracting and procurement function.

Main duties of the job

Our Head of Contracting & Procurement will ensure that the Trust undertakes procurements in line with legislation and best practice and in a manner that secures best value for the public purse.

The post holder will take the lead responsibility for the negotiation, day to day management and performance monitoring of all good and service contracts and SLAs held by the Trust, acting as the link between our internal customers and our suppliers.

Main duties of the job

This role is responsible for negotiating, day to day management and performance monitoring of all contracts and SLAs held by the Trust.

The post holder will be expected to ensure that the Trust undertakesprocurements in line with legislation and best practice and its own SFIs and in a manner that secures best value for the public purse.

The post holder will be expected to continuously monitor the quality and performance of services to determine compliance with national and local contracted terms and conditions, national quality and performance targets and promote continuous improvement in standards.
