Job summary

To work within a multidisciplinary team offering assessments and intervention to children and young people with eating disorders under supervision, in a range of settings and evaluate the mental health care to children, young people and their families in line with local and national guidelines.To provide regular and on-going, joint and individual work, in relation to eating disorders and mental health to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.

Main duties of the job

To promote the needs of young people with emotional, mental and physical ill health to other agencies and the general public. To identify and evaluate specific client needs through assessment under the supervision of a band 6 practitioner. To assist in the development of new services and projects within CAMHS Eating Disorders. To participate as an active member of the CAMHS Eating Disorders team and establish and maintain effective communication with other agencies and professionals. To report any difficulties that may arise in a timely fashion to band 6 nurse supervisor/senior nurse/team leader.

  • Registered Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Nurse - Mental Health, Learning Disability, Childrens Diploma / Degree holder
  • Working towards teaching/mentoring qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
