Main duties of the job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 experienced CAMHS Practitioner to join our North Warwickshire Specialist Mental Health Team working with the specialist CAMHS service.

Substantial knowledge and understanding in Young People's Mental Health is essential and additional CAMHS experience would be desirable. You will hold a caseload of young people with complex mental health needs and will take responsibility for providing evidence based assessments and therapeutic treatment for these individuals.

We as a service are looking for professional staff to have proven skills, knowledge, passion and expertise in working with Children and Young People. If you have skills in Mental Health assessments and treatment, groups, CBT, DDP, EMDR, an interest in Neurodevelopment, Children in Care, Child and Family Holistic assessments and other vulnerable groups then this vacancy will apply to yourself.

About us

You will have a proven ability to liaise with and work in collaboration with other relevant agencies according to the needs of the young person. This exciting post is a real opportunity to demonstrate multi agency working holding the needs of the child and young people at the centre working across the Specialist MH Teams.

As a senior practitioner you will within your role have responsibility for providing both direct and non-direct work to support the work across Rise - Specialist MH Team.

As a service working with Children and Young People, we welcome people to apply who have a clear passion to want to make a difference, are motivated and enthused with the core belief of prevention and resilience. We are a service that is known for being creative and responsive to the needs of our Children and Young People who no matter what level of need to support their emotional wellbeing.

In our partnership with CW Mind, we will be changing culture and influencing the system to see emotional wellbeing and mental health as everyone's business. This will be bringing together expertise from all areas, to ensure that resource is placed solely on the child without tiers or boundaries.

We are part of the CYP IAPT initiative and work in partnership with the Reading University. Embedded in our model are pathways that are built upon evidence-based practice and ensure a supportive supervision structure that allows for effective care delivery as well as the development of staff skills and knowledge.
