Job summary
The post is for a medical General Practitioner in CAMHS Eating Disorders.
The post holder will work in collaboration with other members of the Coventry and Warwickshire RISE (Children and Young People) Eating Disorder Service as part of the team providing assessment and outpatient treatment for patients up to their 18th birthday with an eating disorder.
The post holder will provide medical assessment and monitoring for patients referred to the service and advise the patient's own GP in relation to medical interventions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work within the framework of the Service's policies and procedures and to supervise, manage and support the work of less qualified team members and trainees.
This post primarily involves medical assessment, including assessment and monitoring of risk, and medical monitoring but will also involve consultancy to a range of staff in primary care and mental health services; teaching and training; and contributing to service audit/evaluation.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) provides a range of physical, mental health and learning disability services to children and adults across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull for a population of about 1 million.

It is of note that at the time of writing, two CWPT Consultant Child Psychiatrists have HEE responsibilities with the West Midlands Deanery (WMD); as the Training Programme Director (TPD) for WMD Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Higher Trainees and TPD for the West Midlands Deanery MRCPsych Course for the Core Trainees.
