Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Nursing, AHPs and Quality Directorate for a Risk and Compliance Lead. The post would suit an experienced risk and governance professional who is highly skilled, motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious. Working closely with senior managers and members of the Executive Team, the post holder will ensure the timely population and accurate update of corporate risk and compliance systems. You will explore, develop and recommend methodologies to future approaches to risk management, including the use of appropriate information technology and software. You will promote and continuously develop a proactive risk management culture across the organisation and fully embed risk systems and processes, ensuring that risk records translate into operational actions and responses in a meaningful way. In addition, you will have work with corporate and operational service senior leaders and teams to support the preparatory requirements of CQC inspections and assessments. You will create and maintain systems and processes to underpin compliance, acting as a source of advice to staff across the organisation in the articulation of CQC regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of risk management and compliance based working, ideally acquired at senior level within an organisation with demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills.
Main duties of the job
- Risk Register: You will explore, develop and recommend approaches for risk management, including use of appropriate information technology and software. You will promote and continuously develop a proactive risk management culture across the organisation and fully embed risk systems and processes, ensuring that risk records translate into operational actions and responses in a meaningful way.
- CQC Fundamental Standards: The post holder will support the preparatory requirements of CQC inspections and assessments, including those that are unannounced. Working alongside clinical teams the post holder will support and create systems and processes to assist in demonstrating compliance and will act as a source of advice to all staff, at all levels across the organisation in the articulation of CQC regulatory requirements.
- Policy Monitoring: The post holder will facilitate the collection and monitoring of key data evidencing compliance with key trust policies.
- Quality Account: Working with senior members across operational and corporate services, the post holder will support the review and development of systems and processes to facilitate the annual Trust Quality Account.
