Director of Nursing

It's an incredibly exciting time at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. The Board is in the process of "resetting" the Trust direction, which has resulted in some changes to the organisation's core purpose.

This has provided the Trust with a huge opportunity to focus on and become a centre of excellence for all-age mental health, learning disabilities and autism services, as well as develop its new ambition of becoming a leader in the development of integrated children's services.

As our new Director of Nursing, you will be central to achieving this ambition.

You will be responsible for providing excellent professional nursing leadership across the Trust as well as advice to the Chief Nursing Officer/Deputy CEO and the Board of Directors on all aspects of patient and carer experience, engagement and involvement, and professional standards.

Main duties of the job

You'll work in close partnership with managers, leaders, and other healthcare professionals across the system, to facilitate the delivery of a high quality effective clinical care.

This role is perfect for aspirational executives, and if successful, you will join the Trust at a time which will be career-defining. You must be creative and have a real focus on partnership working, as we strive to do more with our communities and you will be key to making sure we are making the right decisions for the right reasons. We can also offer relocation packages to support you to make the move to Coventry and Warwickshire.

About us

Not only is CWPT in an exciting state of transition, providing the right candidates with the opportunity to really shape and influence the future direction of the Trust, but we're also located in a thriving location, right in the centre of the country:

  • With excellent transport links across the UK, Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull offer easy access to all major cities by train or car.
  • Coventry is a diverse and vibrant city surrounded by the beautiful countryside and picturesque villages of Warwickshire. There is a wealth of entertainment on offer, including restaurants, museums, galleries, parks, theatres and gardens.
  • For families wishing to make a home here, there are excellent state schools as well as high-ranking public schools. We also have top colleges and universities nearby, such as the University of Warwick and Coventry University.

We put 'people at our heart'; this ethos is at the centre of everything we do and how we do it. We care for our staff and colleagues as much as they care for others and offer a wide range of benefits and development opportunities.

We have a clear focus on inclusivity with one of the most diverse boards in the country, have staff networks that meet regularly, and an excellent wellbeing offer for all who work for us.
