Job summary

We have an exciting, innovative and specialist role within our RISE Early Help Service. The role will be based within our Mental Health in Schools Team offer, which was part of a successful trailblazer program stemming from the green paper in 2017.

We are looking for 2 experienced CBT therapists with a passion for early intervention and prevention to join our MDT.

Main duties of the job

To deliver evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy within the Coventry Mental Health in Schools Team.

To provide supervision and support to junior clinicians within your team.

To carry a caseload and co-ordinate care for those children, young people and families. Through this the post holder will assess children referred to the service and plan, implement and evaluate treatment plans.

As a member of the RISE team the post holder will display the ability to liaise internally and externally as appropriate with other professionals to aid CYP recovery pathway. Whilst also being able to support other professionals in guidance/consultation for provision of own own service.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualified Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC under this domain, OR
  • Other registered professional such as Nursing, Occupational Therapist, Social worker with postgraduate qualification in CBT with provisional or full accreditation with the BABCP

Knowledge and skills

Essential

  • Skilled in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention and management
  • Knowledge of recent changes and current issues in mental health service provision
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to manage time effectively, managing a caseload and prioritising on basis of need.

Desirable

  • Specialist Knowledge of the range of young people's mental health problems and mental health services
  • Knowledge of a range of models currently used in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of collaborative multi-disciplinary and multi-agency work
  • Experience in supervision and management of staff

  • Significant experience as a clinician in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services
