We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced EPR Programme Manager to join our multi-professional digital team to manage the procurement and implementation of a new Electronic Patient Record. This will be one of our biggest and most high profile programmes of digital clinical transformation so we are looking for someone with energy, passion and the resilience to manage the complexities and high risks involved in this critical programme of work. Our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme will underpin everything we do for our patients and carers, people, and communities, as well as creating a working environment that enables our staff to deliver the best care they can, every day. The successful candidate will hold responsibility for overseeing the whole EPR programme, ensuring we identify clear outcomes, benefits and objectives and deliver these safely and on time.
Main duties of the job
The EPR Programme Manager will report to the EPR Programme Lead, working closely with the workstream chairs, the EPR Chief Clinical Information Officer, and programme Executive leads to provide expert EPR Programme management. The post will oversee various workstreams supporting the successful implementation of the chosen system within the programmes' timeframe and budget.
The post holder will manage all aspects of the programme from inception to completion including planning, feasibility, costing, project management, design, and contract administration. They will provide effective management and delivery of concurrent multi-stranded projects at multiple stages to ensure projects are delivered on time, to the required quality, within budget, and alignment is maintained to the Trust's Integrated Business Plan. They will establish a programme management approach to the portfolio of interdependent projects to deliver transparency and efficiency and provide the leadership to embed a strong change management culture. They will manage the Trust's external partnerships in relation to the EPR Programme and ensure that the changes are fully embedded and sustained within the organisation and that the identified benefits are achieved.
Key to the success of the EPR programme will be to also ensure it is clinically-led throughout. The EPR Programme Manager role will be instrumental in driving forward clinical and end-user engagement alongside workstream Chairs.
