Job summary

Medical Secretary - Band 4 for Learning Disabilities and Autism Directorate Inpatient Services Brooklands.

Full Time (37.5 hours per week) Mon - Fri 08.30-16.30pm

You will be working within an Admin Team providing an efficient and comprehensive administrative support to Consultants and Managers with the Community Learning Disabilities Service. The post holder will be expected to manage Consultant's caseload as well line management of Band 2 and 3 members of the team.

We are seeking applicants with secretarial or similar experience to provide a comprehensive secretarial service to Community Consultant Psychiatrists and clinical teams.

Main duties of the job

You will act as the first point of contact for the service responding to internal and external enquiries, working unsupervised on a day-to-day basis with a need to exercise judgement and resolve problems using initiative. You'll manage a range of duties, including diary management, and organise workloads to meet deadlines. The role includes supervision of staff, administrative staff functions, appraisals, managing workloads, etc, and support to the Senior Admin Lead to ensure a comprehensive and efficient service.The service received an overall rating of Good by the CQC and an Outstanding for care and compassion of which we are rightly proud. We have also been recognised both locally and nationally by receiving awards for the services we provide.Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services, we see on average around 5,000 patients every day.
