Trainee CBT Therapist - Personality Disorder

Band 6 Trainee CBT Therapist -Personality Disorder (moving to Band 7 on successful completion of the training programme).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee CBT Therapist to join the South Warwickshire Community Mental health and Wellbeing Service. The South Warwickshire Service works with individuals with complex mental health presentations which includes individuals with complex trauma and personality difficulties.

As part of community mental health services transformation, the Trust is continuing to develop its offer of specialist therapies that is available as part of the Trusts Personality and Complex Trauma Pathway. Therefore this is a newly created post through Health Education England funding to be able to deliver CBT for personality disorder.

Main duties of the job

This is a development post (Band 6) during which you will undertake a 2 year PGDIP in CBT for Personality Disorder provided by the University of Exeter. The training is fully funded, and specialist supervision will be provided by both the training course and service. On successful completion of the course you will move to a band 7 CBT Therapist in the service.

The post holder will join a friendly and well-established team of psychologists, psychotherapists, a CBT therapist an assistant psychologist and mental health and wellbeing practitioners. The team are dedicated to high quality evidence-based service provision including Trauma-focused CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
