Occupational Therapist - Band 5
Coventry - Age Independent Community Mental Health Psychosis Service to Adults in Coventry Recovery Team based at Swanswell Point, Stoney Stanton Road Coventry CV1 4FH.
We have a vacancy for a motivated and creative Occupational Therapist to join our team. The team work with service users with psychoticillnesses across the city of Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to bring creativity to a dynamic and forward thinking team. There is scope to do individual and group therapies for our large patient group.
You will receive support and supervision from the management team and the senior Occupational Therapy staff.
The team strongly encourages innovation and professional development. You will have opportunities to discuss this in your supervision andappraisal meetings.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work as part of a large multi-disciplinary team including other Band 6 and Band 5 Occupational Therapists to deliver recovery focussed interventions in the community. Our Occupational Therapists work alongside Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatrists and Support Workers as well as our admin team.
An Occupational Therapy priority pathway exists within the team to identify individuals with Occupational needs.
You will carry a caseload, and your workload will be split between OT specific assessment time and some Care Co-ordination under the CareProgramme Approach for individuals who present with moderate to severe occupational performance issues.
There will be an expectation to carry out some generic roles in the team such as duty work.
The team operates to the Recovery and FACT modelsto support our practice and promote independence, and tend to utilise the Model of Human Occupation.
