An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual who has a keen interest in patient safety & experience to join the Trust's Corporate Patient Safety & Experience Team. The role involves working with colleagues in all specialties and disciplines to support patient safety & experince across the whole organisation.
You will support the team's Lead and Matron in delivering the Trust's Patient Safety Strategy.
The role would suit a person who has an interest in patient safety & experience, has a strong focus on team working and with excellent communication skills.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for promoting patient safety & experience across the organisation through liaising with clinical and non-clinical staff, providing education and training, and supporting with the systematic reviews of patient safety incidents and complaints.
Candidates will require excellent analytical and IT/database management skills as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. you will be able to work autonomously but also part of a small team.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
