Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to advertise for a part time
Band 7 Tissue Viability Lead Nurse who will predominatly work within the
Community Tissue Viability Team .
The successful candidate will provide highly developed wound
care advice and assessment, leadership, developing educational programmes,
developing practice, and undertaking audit and research, primarily supporting
Patient Safety and Pressure Ulcer prevention.
An understanding of
the pressure ulcer prevention agenda and National Wound Care Strategy together
with a passion for wound care and experience in developing and delivering
educational packages would be advantageous.
Experience as a Tissue Viability Nurse and Team Leader and recognised
qualification in woundcare would be beneficial alongwith leadership skill and
knowledge
The post holder will be required to cover the
service across CDDFT region therefore independent travel is essential.
Main duties of the job

*Managing a clinical case load of patients
*Prioritising patient referrals via a triage pathway
*Developing new educational packages
*Delivering existing educational packages
*Participating in educational and audit activities
*Assisting the TV Matron in achieving the service objectives
*Develop, implement and evaluate a specialist service,
ensuring high standards of care and safe, effective clinical practice
*Provide expert advice, education and support to staff,
patients, their families and carers
*Lead on clinical audit activities
*Contribute to / lead the development of policies,
procedures, protocols and guidelines
*Undertake service developments
*Provide a range of educational and training packages for
health care staff and patients.
