Bishop Auckland Hospital as a Band 6 Dental Nurse Manager.
We are seeking a highly
motivated, dynamic, and forward-thinking individual to lead and manage our
dental nursing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in
delivering a safe, high-quality service to our patients across the trust.

Main duties of the job
The
main duties of the Dental Nurse manager would be to lead the dental nursing
team and management of 7 dental sites, being a professioanl link for the Dental
nurses, along with ensuring pathways and processes are being upheld to maintain
and provide a high standard of service at all sites.
The role is a combination
of Leadership,management and service development.
The Dental manager would be
expected to working closely with all members of the dental team to inspire,
support and deliver an excellent service.
The
role will involve day to day running and co-ordination of the team on 7 dental
sites

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Manage training
certificates to ensure compliance with GDC requirements.
Ensure ESR compliance and
maintain accurate staff records.
Conduct staff appraisals
and arrange wellbeing conversations.
Complete workplace risk
assessments.
Coordinate ongoing training
for the dental team.
Ensure adherence to Trust
policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
Promote equal access to
career progression opportunities for dental nurses.
Clinical Governance &
Risk Management
Complete incident and risk
management reports.
Handle complaints and
compliments professionally and promptly.
Conduct infection control
audits across all dental sites.
Organise servicing and
maintenance of dental equipment.
Finance & Compliance
Manage the dental budget,
contracts, and funding.
Serve as Information Asset
Owner (IAO) for the service, updating the ROP quarterly.
Update the dental website
and retrieve x-rays from practitioners using Umbraco.
Attend Nurse, Senior Team
Member (STM), and Care Quality meetings.
Upload staff data to
Compass NHSBSA (WTE).
