Job summary
We are recruiting to the role of Inpatient Team Lead
Physiotherapist at University Hospital North
Durham, on a temporary fixed term basis. This is
an opportunity to join the team and work alongside the other team lead and
clinical specialist physiotherapists within the UHND inpatient physiotherapy
team. We are looking for an individual with clinical knowledge and experience
applicable to the inpatient specialties and the ability to lead the inpatient
team in providing excellent care to clients at UHND. The post holder will also
form part of the adult physiotherapy leadership team trust wide.
Main duties of the job
The post involves working clinically to provide
physiotherapy to inpatients at UHND across all
specialties amongst the well-established team at UHND, as
well as supporting the inpatient service
through training, development and appraisal. The post holder
will support the continual development
of inpatient services, including the respiratory on call
service. They will participate in the overnight on
call rota and work across 7 days a week.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
