Radiology is a busy
department providing Xray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Medical Physics and Ultrasound
services for the Emergency department, Inpatients and Outpatients. We provide
24/7 diagnostic services to the hospital using high quality up-to-date
equipment.
We
have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic team player to
join us as Admin Lead for Radiology. This position is ideally suited to someone
with a leadership background and knowledge of appointment based systems who
wants to advance their career in a busy and supportive workplace.
Main duties of the job
Based
in Radiology across CDDFT, the successful candidate will work closely with all
members of the administrative team, alongside clinical colleagues and senior
management within the department.
We are looking for someone
with experience of leading a team across a number of sites, has a strong
ability to respond to regularly changing priorities and the ability to work
effectively and efficiently, supervising admin colleagues and supporting the
wider healthcare team.
A candidate with excellent
interpersonal skills, dedication and the confidence to deal with a wide range
of matters with tact and diplomacy will thrive in this role. Previous
experience of leading a team and the ability to adapt to change while managing
and prioritising a heavy workload in a fast developing environment is
essential.
The sucessful candidate
will be required to liaise with and provide support to Consultant Radiologists,
maintaining accurate records, checking study leave requests and ensuring they
meet budgetary guidelines.
They
should be able to provide leadership management and development to the
admin/clerical staff within Radiology through regular appraisals.
